Convention, Visitor & Tourist Commission
OUR
MISSION
Our mission is to promote development of the convention, visitor, and tourism industry in Greene County, Indiana.
The Greene County Convention, Visitor, & Tourist Commission is responsible for 100% of collected funds through the Greene County Innkeeper’s Tax. These funds are used to promote tourism activities throughout the county. Donation Cycle applications will be available starting in January 2019. Funds will be awarded on a quarterly basis starting in March 2019, not to exceed $4,000 per quarter (four grant cycles per year).
Donations will be awarded to Greene County based not-for-profit organizations who inspire creative and collaborative methods for boosting tourism in Greene County.
Individual Organizations may receive no more than $4000 in funding over a 12 month period.
Donation recipients must pledge to work cooperatively on behalf of Greene County tourism and provide GCCVTC, upon request, with an activities summary explaining how grant funds were used.
We are grateful to the following businesses invested in Greene County tourism: Pleasant Grove Inn, Park Inn Motel, Sleepy Hollow Inn, Upper Room Inn, Allen’s Motel and Mainstay Suites / Sleep Inn at Crane.
(Note: Mainstay Suites / Sleep Inn at Crane is located in Greene County, Indiana.)
We look forward to adding additional hotel and lodging businesses in 2020, and beyond!
